Rob and Nicole are coming to you live from Nicole’s parents’ basement. Rob announces that they will spreecast live right after the first episode of Big Brother on Thursday, July 12th. Rob is also excited to report that he will be interviewing all of the exiting pre-jury Big Brother houseguests, and he will be hosting a weekly chat for Entertainment Weekly during Big Brother. He and Nicole will also do a Sunday night weekend wrap-up live show, after the east coast airing of BB14.
Rob reveals the 4 mentors for Big Brother 14 that have been leaked: Dan Gheesling, Mike “Boogie” Malin, Britney Haynes, and Janelle Pierzina. Rob announces that he is also looking for 4 Mentor correspondents who will be following them on the live feeds– Send him a brief essay tobigbrotherfreegift@gmail.com if you want to apply! Be engaging, funny, and well-spoken– and tell which mentor you love and why.
Rob also talks about Evel Dick and Ragan’s twitter fight. Evel Dick said the CBS poll was fake because Ragan was getting a lot of votes, and then Ragan started taking shots at Dick. Rob thinks it’s an epic twitter battle– it even includes video. Rob also mentions that you can subscribe to RTVZone.com to keep up with Evel Dick’s Dick at Nite shows throughout the summer.
Rob and Nicole talk more about the mentors on Big Brother. He thinks Mike Boogie and Dan will be an alliance, and he thinks Dan will fill the “Dr Will” role for Boogie. They also talk about Britney being selected as a mentor– she didn’t always make the best strategic moves. Will thinks Dr. Will and Danielle Reyes would be perfect mentors. Rob thinks this might be the best season of Big Brother because the mentors will be the voice of the viewers and keep it interesting. Rob would like to see a mentor twist on Survivor also.
Rob and Nicole then move into their discussion of The Glass House. There are two sides in the house, but Rob doesn’t really know who to root for because he’s not liking either alliance. He and Nicole do like Gene, however. They discuss Gene’s showmance with Joy and how Mike questioned it, as well as whether Stephanie threw the challenge for her team.
Next, in their Bachelorette discussion, Nicole thinks Emily made a big mistake getting rid of Sean. Then they talk about how Emily didn’t make use of any of her fantasy suites. She pulled a ‘bait and switch’ with Sean, and didn’t even give Arie the option because she didn’t trust herself. Rob thought Jef had a good move by turning her down first. Rob thinks Emily will pick Arie, but he would rather have Arie for the next Bachelor because he has the biggest libido and would make good TV.
Finally, Rob and Nicole take some RHAPid fire questions, discussing the mentor twist, the All Star Game, Magic Mike, Spiderman, and more.

Rob is excited to find out the results of your votes, Cesternation. It’s a big week for Big Brother, as they will announce the cast of Big Brother 14 on Thursday, on the heels of this historic poll. Don’t forget to get your Big Brother fix this summer– go to RobHasAwebsite.com/LiveFeeds to sign up for the live feeds and get $10 off.
Kos Kosdrosky is on the line to reveal the votes– Over 2500 votes were cast, and there were 2407 legitimate votes that were tallied. Kos and Rob give big props to Curt Clark for setting up the poll and getting rid of the spoof ballots. Out of the 142 Big Brother players eligible people for this contest, 139 received votes. The exclusive threesome who did not receive votes was Justin (S4), Parker (S9), and Amanda (S9).
Rob asks Kos to start off with some interesting tidbits of players who did not place near the top. Lawon (who Matt Hoffman endorsed) is number 43. Shelly came in 35th, ahead of Lawon, while Jessie came in behind Lawon. Justin, the knife guy from Season 2, came in 48th place. Marcellas placed behind him, which Rob does not agree with- he says Marcellas was a good player who did a dumb thing. Kos also notes that Season 9 players got the fewest votes overall in this poll: the votes for all the season 9 players combined still would not be enough to make the top 14.
THE RESULTS
14. Matt Hoffman (S12). Rob thought at one point the diabolical super-genius Matt was going to win the game his season, but Rob thinks he should have used the Diamond Power of Veto to get out a brigade member, rather than Kathy. Rob thinks he was deserving to make the list, but that his campaigning probably made a difference.
13. Britney Haynes (S12). Rob is not ready to co-sign Brtiney’s placement on this list. He knows she has a big following and is very funny (probably the funniest female ever on Big Brother), but he thought she was more of character and not too strong of a player.
12. Jun Song (S4). Rob thinks she played one of the best under-the-radar games and is very underrated. Kos thinks she fell into a perfect situation so he is more impressed with Allison’s game, but Rob thinks Jun may be the best female winner and would place her higher on this list.
11. Eric Stein (S8). Rob is glad to see Eric on the list but isn’t sure we ever saw him playing Big Brother since America was controlling his moves. Rob thinks if anyone deserves another shot to play the game, it’s Eric Stein.
10. Mike “Boogie” Malin (S2, S7). Rob thought he didn’t do very well in Big Brother 2 and may not have deserved a spot in BB7. Rob thought he was one of the more dominating players and he worked well with Dr. Will in the Chilltown alliance in BB7. Rob thinks they were the first alliance to ever name itself. Rob and Kos would have placed Mike Boogie higher on this list.
9. Daniele Donato (S8, S13). Rob thinks she was overshadowed by her Dad in her first season, but she’s a master in the physical competitions and a dangerous player. In BB13, she was a little too trigger-happy but still managed to last pretty far in the game. Kos also discloses that the sight of Dani in a bikini is the reason he started watching Big Brother, so we have her to thank for his appearance on this very podcast.
8. Rachel Reilly (S12, S13). Rob thinks she grew as a player over the course of the season in BB13. He thinks she did better when Brendon was out of the house. Rob thinks she’s not a very subtle player– you know what she’s going to do, but it’s hard to stop her.
7. Big Jeff Schroeder (S11, S13). Rob thinks there are a lot of players on this list he would put ahead of Big Jeff. He thinks he was really saved in BB11 with the Coup D’Etat twist. Rob thinks he’s very likeable and easy to root for, but he’s not convinced he’s a great game player.
6. Danielle Reyes (S3, S7). She was a big influence on Rob before he played Survivor. Rob thinks she changed the game– there was no jury before her. Rob and Kos think she should be higher on this list. Rob thinks she played a little too hard on All Stars, but that she’s the best player never to win Big Brother.
5. Jordan Lloyd (S11, S13). Rob winces as Kos reveals her name. He thinks she is likeable and “so not a threat” that she sticks around longer. Also she is likely to win whenever she makes it to the end because no one is mad at her. He does think she has some strategy, but is never really pulling the strings.
4. Janelle Pierzina (S6, S7). Rob and Kos thinks she’s a good player but she may be a little high on this list. She is a fierce competitor and can have a good social game at times, and she was well-liked by the audience.
3. Evel Dick Donato (S8, S13). He’s someone who knows the game inside and out and one of the most memorable winners. Kos thinks he was saved by the America’s Player twist and placed a little too high on this list. Rob thinks he deserves a high placement and that he was poised to win BB13 as well had he not had to leave the house– he set Rachel’s win in motion.
2. Dan Gheesling (S10). He got off on the wrong foot in BB10 but was able to turn it around. Rob and Kos think he’s a great player and deserving of this spot in the list. He’s likeable, even-keeled, a student of the game, and a strong competitor.
1. Dr. Will Kirby (S2, S7). Kos notes that Dr. Will almost doubled everyone else’s score, and was 1st or 2nd on 58% of the ballots, and appeared on 68% of the ballots. Rob says America got this right– Will is the best Big Brother player and may even be the best reality show contestant of all time. He was the biggest influence on Rob and was his favorite player to watch. He was always able to turn things around if he was on the block, and was able to go far in All Stars with a huge target on his back.
After going through the top 14, Kos reveals the “close but no cigar” votes: 20. Maggie Ausburn, 19. Kaysar Ridha, 18. Nakomis Dedmon, 17. Brendon Villegas, 16. Hayden Moss, 15. “Veto King” James Rhine.
Some stats on this BB Top 14 list: It includes 7 males and 7 females, 7 winners and 7 non-winners. There are 5 players from seasons 1-7, and 9 from seasons 8-13. Season 7 (All-Stars) and 13 are most represented, with 4 players each on the list.
Rob Cesternino and Nicole return for another edition of The Friggin 5… The 5 things that the listeners of Rob Has a Podcast are most interested in hearing about every week. In the opening, Rob announces that the voting will begin for the Top 14 Big Brother players of all-time Fan Vote on Rob Has a Website. Plus, early bird subscriptions to the Real Player Superpass Big Brother live feeds will also be available on Monday for a price of $29.99
Here’s the rundown for this weeks show:
Friggin 1) Redneck Island with Jonny Fairplay – 08:00
Jonny Fairplay makes his triumphant return to Rob Has a Podcast to discuss the new CMT show “Redneck Island” Hosted by Stone ColdSteve Austin. The show is very similar to Survivor in terms of rules but everybody on the show is from the South. Jonny Fairplay feels like Redneck Island did a great job of developing all of the characters. Rob felt like Redneck Island’s Adam is ripping a page out of Colton Cumbie‘s playbook. Rob and Fairplay review the first weeks show and discuss why the game may indeed be “Flawwwwwwed”.
Friggin 2) Glass House on ABC Drama – 34:20
While Rob is very excited to do the first ever post show podcast in the history of Glass House on Monday night with Matt Hoffman, the show may not ever make it to air. CBS has filed an injunction and is hoping a judge will tell ABC cannot air Glass House because the creators have stolen intellectual property from Big Brother (due to the number of former Big Brother staffers working on the show).
Meanwhile, the Glass House live feeds have been airing daily on ABC.com. Rob likes that the live hour has been structured thought it is hard to follow too many of the characters without ever seeing them introduced on the TV show.
Friggin 3) Reality Show News – 43:25
Happy news for Boston Rob Mariano and Amber as they welcome baby #3 into the world. Rob and Amber now have a third daugher, which they have named Isabetta who was born last month.
Another reality person that is happy is Reality Steve, the blogger who has gained notoriety for spoiling the seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. The lawsuit that ABC had filed against him has now been dropped after it was concluded that he never paid money to Bachelor contestants to get spoilers.
Plus, Nicole has updates from the set of Jersey Shore 6 where Deena Nicole has become the latest cast member to be arrested.
Friggin 4) The Worst Stor of the Week – 55:10
A 63-year old Korean woman was eating a nice piece of squid when she felt something stinging her in the mouth. It turns out that the dead squid had ejaculated something which stuck to and impregnated her mouth with parasitic organisms. Sushi anyone?
Friggin 5) Your Questions and Comments – 59:30
Rob and Nicole head over to Facebook to briefly discuss a coterie of topics including Matthew Von Ertfelda appearing on AMC’s “The Pitch”, The NBA Finals, Mad Men’s finale and much more.

Rob discusses how many Mad Men fans felt like this act was a betrayal of Joan’s character.

Dan Gheesling was the winner of Big Brother 10 but now has shifted his attention to teaching others how to get on reality television. In Dan’s new book “How to Get on Reality TV: The Complete Step by Step Guide”, Dan goes into detail about every step in the process of getting on to a reality tv show. Dan joins Rob Cesternino to talk about the process on a special podcast.
Making Your Tape – Dan takes us through the steps to making a successful reality television audition tape. Dan says that it’s very important to control the message on your audition tape and not to spend too much time how you’re such a big fan of the show. Rob agrees that your tape is 100% a marketing piece for yourself. The guys discuss why it’s better to show the casting executives things about your personality rather than just tell them.
Phone Interviews – We discuss the first phone call that you get from a casting producer and the best strategy to win them over. Dan recommends drinking several Red Bulls before any one of these calls.
Casting Semi-Finals – What is the best way to approach the semi-final round of casting? Dan describes what will happen when you meet the casting producers for the first time and how to make it through to the final rounds of casting.
Casting Finals in Los Angeles – For the final round of Reality TV show casting, Dan talks you through what you can expect on your weeklong stay in Los Angeles. Rob shares some stories from his experiences with the CBS executives in the casting finals before his first stint on Survivor.

Adam Poch made it to the top 3 on Big Brother 13 and now he joins Rob Cesternino to talk about the latest 3-hour edition of Celebrity Apprentice.
In the first task the teams were responsible for coming up with a guide for New York City. Teresa Guidice was the project manager for the women while Dee Snider was the project manager for the men. The women had plenty of conflict this week as Lisa Lampanelli and Dayana Mendoza battled once again. Donald Trump even dragged Regis Philbin out of mothballs to judge which team had the best design. It turned out to be one of the closest competitions in the history of the Celebrity Apprentice as the women lost by just $14.
Teresa ending up choosing to bring Debbie Gibson and Dayana Mendoza to the boardroom with her, despite the fact that Aubrey O’Day raised the least amount of money. Trump ultimately decided to fired Debbie Gibson since she did raise a lot of money and frankly, she wasn’t bringing too much drama.
In the second half of the episode, Donald Trump decided to shuffle the teams sending Aubrey O’Day and Teresa Guidice to the men’s team while sending Penn Jillette, Lou Ferrigno and Dee Snider to join Lisa Lampanelli and Dayana. Immediately, Arsenio Hall was not happy about having Aubrey O’Day on his team.
All through the episode, Aubrey got on Arsenio’s nerves until things just exploded in the boardroom. Arsenio called Aubrey a “me first” player and not a “team first” player. Arsenio even claimed that he found pictures on Google of Aubrey O’Day naked with a gut. Somehow, despite all of the dysfunction, Arsenio and Aubrey were on the winning team this week. After leaving the boardroom Aubrey went off on her own and potentially quit the game.
Meanwhile back in the board room, Lou Ferrigno decided to take Dayana and Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider back to the boardroom. The three spent sometime talking to Donald Trump’s secretary Amanda before returning to the boardroom. Somehow, Lou escaped firing once again as Trump blamed Dee Snider for creating the cube that the Walgreen’s people didn’t like.
We’ll talk to Adam about everything from this weeks show, plus discuss the upcoming Reality Rally and all of Adam’s experiences in the Big Brother house, including meeting Tori Spelling. Plus, we’ll hear what Adam thinks about former housemates Brendan Villegas and Rachel Reilly on the Amazing Race.
Following the big reality TV Sunday Night, Rob Cesternino will be joined by the diabolical super genus, Matt Hoffman from Big Brother. Rob and Matt will take your questions live to discuss the latest firing on Celebrity Apprentice and discuss his old friends Brendon and Rachel as they continue on The Amazing Race.
We break down the job that Tia Carrere did as project manager for the women with the viral video “What’s Your Number”. We try to figure out what Tia Carrere’s age number is plus what is “the number” for Aubrey O’Day, Rachel Reilly and Debbie Gibson. Plus, would Tia Carrere have been fired had she taken Dayana Mendoza to the boardroom?
Over on the men’s team, Matt tells us about why he loves Lou Ferrigno. We break down the big fight between Clay Aiken and Penn Jillette. Rob tells us that he is Team Penn all the way on Celebrity Apprentice. We’ll also try to figure out why Paul seemed especially cranky this week in the board room.
We will also discuss that awkward moment when Donald Trump Jr. was pressing Donald Trump Sr. to reveal the number of women that he’s slept with in the boardroom.
Over on the Amazing Race, we start off by getting Matt’s opinion of what its like to see his old friends Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly appearing on the Amazing Race. We talk about their relatively quiet week on this week’s show and discuss their epic meltdown last week in Italy. Of course, we’ll react to Brendon’s hilarious fall on the mat when Brendon and Rachel.
Rob was happy his least favorite team to watch Kerri and Stacy were eliminated from The Amazing Race this week and his favorites Mark and Bopper remained alive for another week. Plus we’ll discuss the huge fight between Vanessa and Ralph and why it sucks to be Ralph.
Rob Cesternino celebrates the spirit of Leap Day by discussing as much reality television as possible in this one extra day of the year. Rob discuss the latest from The Amazing Race which included a minor Brenchel meltdown as Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly got into a fight in Argentina. We’ll also discuss the difficulties of the women so far on Celebrity Apprentice and Survivor. Of course, we’ll also preview whats going to happen on Wednesday night’s new episode of “Survivor: One World“.
Be sure to be part of the conversation by joining Rob live on Wednesday at 12 pm EST / 9 am PST
And be sure to celebrate the true spirit of Leap Day William by remembering to wear your blue and yellow or Rob will pull you hair and poke you in the eye.
Join Rob Cesternino and Nicole Cesternino live discussing the Reality TV Perfect Storm of 2012. Rob and Nicole will finally give their thoughts on Brenchel aka Brendan Villegas and Rachel Reilly appearing on the amazing race – plus some thoughts about the other teams appearing on this season of The Amazing Race. Plus Rob and Nicole will take your questions and comments about the premiere of The Celebrity Apprentice and we’ll preview Wednesday night’s new episode of Survivor: One World.
