20120514 kim spradlin final 5 Kim and the Gang: Interviews with The Survivor One World Final Five

It’s Ladies Night on Rob Has a Podcast (Photo Courtesy of CBS)

On Sunday night, the Final Five women left in Survivor battled it out to see who would the winner of Survivor: One World. When the dust settled, Kim Spradlin was this season’s winner by a 7-2-0 margin. All Five of the Finalists, Kim Spradlin, Sabrina Thompson, Chelsea Meissner, Alicia Rosa and Christina Cha join Rob Cesternino and Nicole to talk about their adventure on this season of Survivor.

Kim Spradlin: Interview starts at 1:35

Rob welcomes this season’s winner Kim Spradlin to talk to her about her game this season. Rob wants to know at what point did Kim come to the same realization that he did… that no matter what she did or who she took to the end, she was going to win the game? Rob wants to know how much of a Survivor education did Kim have before she came into the game. Rob also wants to know if Kim ever got to find out what the right answer was to the question that Troyzan had for her at the final tribal council. We also find out if Kim ever told anybody else besides Chelsea if she had the hidden immunity idol. Rob and Nicole ask Kim if she could tell us what animals the rest of The One World cast look like and Rob talks to Kim about if she would return to play in an all-star edition of Survivor and how she might fare against the best of the best.

Sabrina Thompson: Interview starts at 18:10

Rob and Nicole welcome Sabrina to the show and ask her if she ever contemplated getting rid of Kim at some point in the game. Sabrina explains that she really felt like Chelsea, Kim and herself were a tight knit group and to her it didn’t matter who ended up winning the game. Rob wants to know how much Sabrina knew that Kim was going out and making other deals with the other players. Sabrina didn’t really ever feel that Kim was going to defect from her threesome. Sabrina also shares some touching stories about the school district that she’s working in and the role that fate played in her Survivor experience.

Chelsea Meissner: Interview starts at 33:50

Chelsea joins Rob and Nicole and is under the impression that people think she was really bitchy on the show. Rob and Nicole try to put her at ease that they didn’t really feel that way. Rob wants to know if Chelsea really knew how much Kim was trying to go outside of the alliance in the game. Rob and Nicole also want to know if Chelsea was ever involved in a showmance with Jay Byars, but Chelsea says that they were just friends.

Alicia Rosa & Christina Cha: Interview starts at 50:30

As they were checking out of their respective hotel rooms, Alicia and Christina join Rob and Nicole. Rob asks Alicia whether her and Christina have buried the hatchet with each other. Both of the women say that they’ve been able to move on from their fighting that took place in the early part of the game. Rob asks Alicia about some of the key errors she made in the game, specifically voting out Tarzan at Final 6 and Kat at Final 7 – essentially handing the game over to Kim. Alicia also reveals that she has a new single that is dropping on itunes and Chrisitna Cha pushes her to sing for us.

All season long, Rob Cesternino and Nicole Cesternino have been watching Survivor One World with an expert eye. Now on Sunday Night, May 13th the winner of Survivor One World will be crowned. Rob and Nicole will get your reactions LIVE at 11:15 pm ET to see whether Kim Spradlin can bring home the victory or if she will be upset by Sabrina Thompson, Chelsea Meissner, Alicia Rosa or Christina Cha.

We’ll be breaking down everything from the two-hour Survivor One World finale and live reunion show thereafter. Rob and Nicole will be taking your text questions and video calls to get your immediate reactions to the announcement of the winner of Survivor One World. Plus we’ll cover all of the Survivor Tweets from Finale Night and discuss the preview for Survivor 25.

Julie Berry was a cast member of Survivor: Vanuatu, a game that saw the women take control of the game after the merge. However, on Survivor Vanuatu the women lost control as Chris Daugherty, the only man left in the game, managed to outwit, outplay and outlast all the women to become the sole Survivor. Julie Berry joins Rob Cesternino to discuss the differences between her season and Survivor: One World and her thoughts heading into Sunday night’s finale.

Rob brings up that he thinks that Alicia Rosa blew the game for herself when she got manipulated by Kim Spradlin into voting out Tarzan.  Rob felt like Alicia was in a great position, especially after winning the immunity challenge and now believes that she handed the game over to Tarzan.  Rob felt like Alicia’s mistake was in not targeting Sabrina Thompson if she felt like Tarzan was secretly trying to get to the final three with him.

Julie, like Rob, thinks that Kim’s game has been phenomenal and would be very surprised if somehow she didn’t win the game on Sunday night.  Julie and Rob run through a number of scenarios but can’t come up with a way that the women will somehow get rid of Kim before the final three.

Rob asks Julie is she will ever go back and play Survivor, but Julie reveals that she is no longer eligible to play in the game.  Julie says that while dating Jeff Probst, she saw too much of the behind the scenes production and now can never be on the show again.  Julie answers a number of questions from the listeners about whether she would let Tarzan wear her clothes, the earthquake in Vanuatu and which Survivor players she keeps in touch with.

Later in the show, Rob is joined by Rose-Anne Cesternino in honor of Mother’s Day.  Rose-Anne explains why she enjoyed Tarzan this season when in the past she was annoyed by Phillip Sheppard and Coach.  Rose-Anne also describes her experience with being a loved one on Survivor: The Amazon.  Rob ends the show by answering some of the comments from the listeners left on Rob has a Website and the Facebook Fan Page.

20120510 tarzan The Interview is Afoot: Talking with Survivor Tarzan

He may not remember names… but we will never forget Tarzan (photo courtesy of CBS)

This season of Survivor has been about three things. First, it was about the horrible behavior of Colton Cumbie. Second, it was about the stellar gameplay of Kim Spradlin… but through it all there has been one constant, the antics of Greg Smith, better known as Tarzan. Tarzan joins Rob Cesternino to discuss his time on Survivor: One World and shed a little light into what was really going on.

Rob starts off by asking Tarzan just how much of his behavior on the show was a result of his strategy. Tarzan says that he knew that he had to avoid people seeing him as a mastermind and a strategic threat. Tarzan said that he was happy to let players like Colton take the credit for making the strategic decisions in the game.

Tarzan said that he planned to stick with the men’s alliance until the end, but when Troyzan, Jay Byars and Michael Jefferson decided to flip to work with Kim Spradlin, Chelsea Meissner, Sabrina Thompson and Kat Edorsson. Tarzan said that once the men betrayed the men’s alliance, he did not feel bad about following suit to join the women to vote out the other men.

Tarzan goes into great detail about the bacteria that may have brought down Colton Cumbie, explaining in even further detail some medical ailments suffered by Sabrina and by Kat. Tarzan describes that he was working very closely with Alicia Rosa after the merge and had a good relationship with Kim. Tarzan was surprised by how strongly Kim flirted with the idea of voting with himself, Alicia and Christina. Tarzan also claims to have written a six-stanza poem about his Survivor experience. Finally, Tarzan shares his battle with cancer and how he triumphed over the disease.

20120503 jerri manthey4 Hello, Jerri! Jerri Manthey on The Survivor One World Final Six

Is the kindler, gentler Jerri actually The Bizarro Jerri? (Photo courtesy of CBS)

Jerri Manthey became a pop culture icon in 2001 during the airing of Survivor: The Australian Outback. After Australia, Jerri made numerous TV appearances including starring in the TV series, “The Surreal Life” before returning to Survivor for Survivor: All-Stars and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. Jerri joins Rob Cesternino and Nicole to discuss all her experiences with Survivor and shed some light on Survivor: One World.

Rob and Nicole open the show discussing the vote out of Kat Edorsson on this week’s show. Rob did an interview with Kat that Rob said was a lot of fun. Rob and Nicole get Jerri on the line and begin to discuss some of the changes that Survivor has gone through over the years. Jerri feels like Jeff Probst has gone much more on offense during Tribal Council and she thinks that it has gone too far. Jerri also objects to players using the term “deserving” as Chelsea Meissner did this week.

Rob and Nicole discuss Kat’s decision to bring Kim Spradlin and Alicia Rosa with her on the loved ones reward challenge. Since Jerri won the loved ones challenge on Survivor Heroes vs. Villains, Rob and Nicole asked her about her decision to pick Sandra Diaz-Twine and Parvati Shallow over Russell Hantz. Also discussed is the relationship between Kat Edorsson and her cousin Robby and how Alicia could have a sister named Laticia. Rob also suspects that Tarzan might be a fellow New York Jets fan after he appeared to Tebow before meeting his wife, Terry.

Rob asks Jerri if there is anybody in the game that can stop Kim Spradlin from winning the game. Like Rob, Jerri doesn’t see anybody out there capable of stopping Kim. It’s looking more and more like there’s not even a final three combination that can beat Kim in the game.

Jerri Manthey speaks frankly about a number of topics dating back to why she voted for Tine on Survivor: Australia, what led to her leaving the Survivor: All-Stars reunion and her decision not to vote for Russell Hantz on Heroes vs. Villains. Jerri also answers a number of questions from the listeners covering a number of topics in her career.

20120503 kat Kat E. Remarks: An Interview with Survivor Kat Edorsson

Being voted out is never Cool Beans (photo courtesy of CBS)

This week on Survivor, Kat Edorsson became the latest player to be to be voted out of the tribe. Kat became the first of the women to be voted out after the merge on Survivor: One World. Kat joins Rob Cesternino to talk about the shock of being voted out and her time on Survivor One World.

Rob asks Kat about why the other women in the tribe decided to turn on her. Was she voted out because Chelsea Meissner and Sabrina Thompson thought she was selfish or was it because Alicia felt like Kat was tough in the competition. Rob asks Kat if she realized that Chelsea and Sabrina had such hard feelings about her in the game. Does Kat wish that she would’ve taken Tarzan and Christina on the reward challenge instead.

Did Kat know that Kim Spradlin was lobbying so hard to keep her in the game? Rob asked Kat if Troyzan‘s exit out of the game had anything to do with the women seeing Kat differently? Kat said that Troyzan really hurt her in the game because the other girls, Chelseas specifically, felt like that Kat would get the jury votes of Troyzan and many of the other men in the game.

Rob wants to know if there was a Survivor showmance going on between Kat and Michael Jefferson this season? Kat doesn’t completely deny this but she doesn’t really think that she is the kind of girl that the guys are really in to. Kat says that she was also hurt by the votes that she got at tribal council. Kat looks very closely at the use of capitalization and punctuation to tell when somebody really wants to get somebody out of the game

20120426 fincher The Finchelor is Back: John Fincher on the Winning Ways of Survivor Kim

It’s likely that Kim will probably win The Finchelor too (photo courtesy of CBS)

John Fincher, better known as The Finchelor to fans of Rob Has a Podcast, has returned to visit Rob Cesternino and Nicole and discuss the latest episode of Survivor: One World. John Fincher got into Nicole’s good graces by bringing her a bottle of Ciroq vodka.

Rob starts off by discussing Troyzan‘s effort on this week’s episode of Survivor One World. Rob was starting to really believe that Troyzan had a chance to switch up the vote. Rob liked the idea of Troyzan putting his vote on Christina Cha to try to tip the vote in his favor. Fincher really liked that Troyzan’s position in the game allowed him to push the pedal to the metal over the last couple of weeks.

John Fincher has been impressed as well this season with Kim Spradlin. Fincher even says she is an under the radar candidate to appear on the Finchelor (John Fincher’s dating reality show). Rob, Nicole and John discuss how Kim complained she was having the worst day of playing Survivor when Kat Edorsson got mad at her for not choosing to take her on the reward challenge. Rob said that if this is Kim’s worst day on Survivor she is doing pretty good.

Rob, John and Nicole try to figure out where Christina’s head is in the game right now. Rob thought it was funny that after Sabrina said that some of the girls were voting for Christina she said that she’s not 100% with the girls. John Fincher says that he is not a big fan of Alicia in the game or her comments that she made towards Christina.

John Fincher answers plenty of questions from the listeners including discussing which players deserve to be called idiots, which Survivor girls have caught his eye and what does he think of Russell Hantz‘ recent comments about him on the Hantz Mega Cast.

20120426 troyzan Troy Story: Troyzan Tells All from Survivor One World

Troyz in the Hood (photo courtesy of CBS)

The last couple of weeks Troy Robertson, better known as Troyzan, has been the focus of the attention for Kim Spradlin and the women of Survivor One World. This week, Kim finally gets her man as Troyzan became the latest person voted from the tribe. Troyzan joins Rob Cesternino to talk about everything that happened.

Rob welcomes Troyzan onto the podcast and they begin discussing some of the key points in Troyzan’s time on Survivor. Rob wants to know if Troyzan was aware in the game of the way that Kim told him that Michael Jefferson was trying to get him out of the game. Troyzan says that Michael was always trying to get himi out of the game and Kim saying something to him just iced it for him. For Troy, he said the men of this game were never going to be able to work together like the women. For the women, it was natural for all of them to just fall in line behind Kim, but Troy says too many of the men had their own ideas about what to do.

Rob asks Troy if he knew that Jay Byars had told Kim that he had a hidden immunity idol in the game. Troy says that he had a conversation with Kim after she spoke with Jay so he was aware. Rob brings up the decision by the men to go to the tribal council early in the show when they didn’t have to do it. Troyzan says that he still didn’t think that was too bad of a decision because Bill Posley was working to get him out as well.

As far as working with Kat Edorrson, Troyzan said that he felt close that Kat was about to flip over but once she spoke with Kim, she was back in the fold. Troyzan also discusses what it was like to play Survivor with Tarzan, his conversations with Christina and who might be joining him at the Survivor One World finale.

As written by RHAP Recapper/Intern Amy Hache…

Rob Cesternino and Nicole are back to discuss the week in Reality TV on the latest edition of Rob Has a Web Show on Wed, April 25th at 12 pm ET / 9 am PT. Nicole is feeling a little under the weather at the top of the show, but looking great. The Finchelor will be joining Rob and Nicole for an in-studio podcast tonight and Rob is worried John Fincher will outplaid him.

Rob talks about a website offering 1 million dollars to any woman who has had sex with Tim Tebow. Nicole gives her review of Titanic 3D, and Rob reminds us of the Titanic and Celebrity Apprentice podcasts he did over the weekend that you may have missed due to a disruption in the iTunes feed. So be sure to check those out if you haven’t already!

Rob and Nicole move into a discussion of some shady happenings on the Amazing Race. For the 2nd time this season, Mark and Bopper came in last place on a non-elimination leg. But the chat room informs Rob that BJ and Tyler also came in last twice on non-elimination legs in a past season. Rob and Nicole also talk about Bopper’s knee, Art and JJ, and Dave and Rachel. Mark imitates the Bollywood director from the dance challenge and they discuss whether Rachel will have to shave her head next week as previews would have us believe.

Rob then talks about his epic podcast with Russell Hantz. Rob doesn’t think there’s a better commercial for Flipped Off than that podcast. However, there was feedback that people did not like Russell and Mikayla picking on Brandon. Rob says Russell just might be earning his spot on Mt. RHAPmore.

Next, Rob and Nicole’s adopted 73-year-old son “Call Me Crazy” makes an appearance. Then Rob and Nicole attempt to get a game started with another video caller. After some difficulties, Rob gets a contestant, Apprentice blogger Jordan Kalish, for “Is Nicole Right?”.

The sponsor for the game is RobHasAStore.com. There is some controversy about whether Rob’s first question to Jordan was an example or whether it qualified for points. The records show Rob never said it was an example– he just said “Let me give you the first one.” So Nicole, Jordan, and the chat room were right! Jordan Kalish wins his very own Rob Has a Podcast coffee mug without any blemishes on his record.
